Taking Credit for Austin MSA Median Income Growth (Part I)

The good folks over at CAPCOG’s Data Points blog give us the good news: Austin MSA median household income is up.

However, as I argued in the past, we have to put this in the context of our substantial amount of human capital, as well as examine if local policy is creating or destroying value relative to other communities.  I’ll be working on some comparisons across MSAs now that the new American Community Survey data is out to see how Austin is doing relative to other places with similar levels of human capital.  Look for that soon.
